Three different places share one lesson. When a city depends on one centralized grid, one failure can stop everything built on top of it. Grid fragility, price volatility, digitalization and aging infrastructure are making that risk bigger every year, just as demand for power climbs.

A city is thousands of systems drawing power at once: water treatment, food production, homes, schools, hospitals where an outage is a life-safety event, and the public systems that keep a city safe. • Build the infrastructure. Wind, solar, storage and multi-fuel generation, connected to every building through intra-city distribution.

• Own and operate. Hover runs the system long term and expands it as the city grows.

No Upfront Capital for Developers

We bring energy into the master plan from day one. Subject to project structure, Hover can own and operate the microgrid while the development buys power through predictable long-term agreements across a variety of offtakers, resulting in no upfront capital to the citizens.

Every Hover City is run by our Microgrid Management System™ (MMS™), an agentic AI platform that balances supply and demand in real time, isolates faults, predicts weather-related production challenges and cures them. The result is energy security: the grid can become the backup only, and when it fails, a Hover City islands itself and keeps running.

It also delivers data sovereignty. As cities digitalize, data becomes as critical as power. The MMS™ runs ‘on-prem’, so a city’s data stays in the city.
