Rachael has a multifaceted background in operations, project management, and people leadership. With a strong commitment to sustainability, productivity and maintaining valuable relationships, she brings a practical and results-oriented approach to her work.
During her tenure at Smarter Grid Solutions, Rachael managed the North American delivery team and spearheaded high-profile Distributed Energy Resource Management System (DERMS) and complex microgrid projects in collaboration with domestic and international electrical utilities. Her leadership and strategic insights were instrumental in driving the successful execution of these projects and North American objectives.
As the Operations Director at Shine Development Partners, Rachael played a key role in the successful development of commercial-scale renewable projects, including community solar initiatives, across the United States. As the Executive Director of the non-profit Houston Renewable Energy Group for 5 years, Rachael created numerous ongoing programs which continue to make significant contributions to advancing sustainable energy practices in the Houston area.
Prior to her career in renewables, Rachael worked as a plant engineer for five years at Praxair, a Linde company, where she oversaw operations, plant maintenance, turnarounds, and led LEAN Six Sigma cost reduction projects at six large industrial air separation facilities along the Gulf Coast of Texas. Her dedication to operational excellence and continuous improvement helped streamline processes and drive significant cost savings.
Rachael holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University at Buffalo and a Bachelor of Science degree from Adelphi University, where she studied Music and International Studies-Political Science. As a Division 2 volleyball player, Rachael earned a spot on the NY Collegiate Athletic Conference All-Academic Team.
Based in Binghamton, NY, Rachael finds fulfillment in yoga, gardening, singing, and hiking with her husband and daughter.
