Patrick is President and a Director of Hover Energy. Prior to joining the management team, he served on the Board of Directors through his role as Managing Partner of Beachwood Ventures, a venture capital and advisory firm he founded in 2018. Over the past 18 years, Patrick has built his career focused on fundraising, strategy, operations, and talent acquisition.

From 2015 to 2020, Patrick was Co-Founder and President of Accelerate Resources, a technology and data-driven company that specialized in the acquisition and management of energy assets. Capitalized with a $300 million commitment by New York-based private equity firm Pine Brook Partners and $100 million in debt from Alliance Bernstein, Accelerate made 150 acquisitions and built a portfolio that was in the top 7% in the U.S. by well results.

Since 2005, Patrick has served his country with distinction in the United States Marine Corps. As an infantry officer, he completed two combat tours and later served as a Recon Company Commander. Patrick is a two-time recipient of the Navy & Marine Corps Commendation Medal and continues to serve as a Major for the Marine Corps’ Innovation Unit. He is a graduate of both the Marine Corp University’s Command & Staff College and the Expeditionary Warfare School, and was the top academic graduate at TBS.

He holds an MBA from the SC Johnson College of Business at Cornell University, where he was a Roy H. Park Leadership Fellow and Nolan Scholar. He earned a BA in Economics and Government from the University of Texas at Austin and was a recipient of the Frank J. Ruck Leadership Award. He serves on the Johnson Advisory Council at Cornell.

Patrick is a member of Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO) and serves on the National Council for the American Enterprise Institute, a public policy think tank. He has been recognized as a 10 Under 10 Notable Alumni by the Cornell Johnson School of Management, an EY Entrepreneur of the Year® nominee, a Dallas Business Journal 40 under 40 awardee, and an Oil and Gas Investor Forty under 40 honoree. Patrick resides in Puerto Rico with his two dogs and enjoys fly fishing, geopolitics, and reading.
